Searching the Library Catalog (Primo)

This how-to guide will cover tips for searching the library's online catalog for materials.

What is the library catalog?

The library catalog is Weaver Library's discovery platform that provides a single access point to most of the library's collections. Using the library catalog, you can search for scholarly journal articles, newspaper articles, magazine and popular press articles, books, videos, and more. You will be able to narrow your results to full-text online access, publication date, type of material,  and more. You can also use the library catalog to sign in and check your library account, and to request to borrow physical items like books from both Weaver Library and other college and university libraries in the State of Montana.

Please note that despite the library's best efforts, errors can occur in the catalog where online access to an item is not working or access is unavailable. If this occurs, please email the library at library@gfcmsu.edu, and we can work to get the issue resolved. Please include specific information in your email including the item you are trying to access, it's permalink in our catalog, screenshots, and any other relevant information about the issue.
